FDCPA requires in the collector’s initial communication what is often called a “mini-Miranda” warning, in which the collectors state that they are attempting to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Is your suggestion that the mini-Miranda warning also include a statement by the collector that the debt is not older than the statute of limitations?
